Weymouth & Portland welcome Dorset & Wilts division 1 south league leaders Yeovil to Monmouth Avenue on Saturday kicking off at 2.15pm,but a new year and the Seasiders still have the selection problems that have dogged them since their Dorset & Wilts Vase final back in early December.
First team manager Vaughan Carter said: “Since the Vase final when we lost 2 key players, George Carter & Josh Wilson for the remainder of the season with serious injuries we have had selection problems, but despite that we have managed to put out a side although losing both league games against North Dorset & Dorchester”.
“I had hoped that with the Christmas break things would have improved, but some lads have still to contact me to state their availability so we are not naming a squad until probably late Friday evening”.
Weymouth & Portland second xv visit Bestwall Park Wareham to lock horns with Swanage & Wareham 3rd xv.
